People build a house with various reasons and some of them are investment and the expression of art and richness. On the following list, I like to give you top 10 most expensive houses in the world. Most of the houses below are one of a kind, build over expensive land lot and took thousand of dollar to maintain it. As info, only one of the house below belong to a man on the list of top 10 world’s richest person 2011


10. Dracula’s Castle, Romania: $ 135 million

It is the oldest house in the list and the recent owner of the house is Archduke Dominic of Austria-Tuscany. The house contains 57 room, 17 bedrooms, bathroom, view-hidden passageways, fortress, and ex-prisons on the underground. In 2007, Dominic and his associates tried to sell it for 80-135 million. Luckily, Romanian government interfere it and now the castle remain a private property of Dominic and he turn it into a museum since January 26, 2009
